Giuliano Bugialli's story

Giuliano's respect for cooking traditions did not stop him from embracing new ways to spread his message of quality and authenticity. Television was a quite natural outlet for his more extroverted side.
For five years, Bugialli hosted a popular weekly TV show, produced by the Italian public television network, RAI. The program, in Italian, was distributed on cable in many American cities, and by satellite among other Italian communities abroad, making Bugialli the "official" representative of Italian cooking to the world.

In the fall of 1985, Bugialli released his first, English language, commercial video: A Guide to Italian Cooking with Giuliano Bugialli. The VHS tape, produced by Videocrafts Classics, featured a full range of techniques, used to produce a large variety of dishes. It was offered as a monthy selection by the Book of the Month Club and the Cooking and Crafts Club. It rapidly established itself as one of the leading sellers in the cooking video market segment.
Giuliano's charm on video got even better with two more, 1990 releases: All About Pasta and A Taste of Italy with Giuliano Bugialli.
